ASC Mission Statement

We are a coalition of survivors, allies, whistleblowers, and advocates dedicated to confronting and healing the sexual abuse occurring within institutions like churches/synagogues/temples/sacred spaces, religious organizations, schools and universities, youth programs, workplaces, families, and other structures of authority. Our community is built by survivors, allies, whistleblowers, and advocates who share a commitment to truth, accountability, and collective healing.

This blog exists to provide clear, accessible resources for those impacted by sexual abuse and institutional betrayal. We offer guidance on finding understanding peers, getting connected to trauma-informed support, and recognizing patterns of misconduct and cover-up that institutions often conceal.

At the heart of our mission is peer support. We believe that survivors heal more fully when they are seen, believed, and supported by others with lived experience. Through shared stories, community spaces, and practical tools, we aim to reduce isolation and help survivors reclaim their power.

We also uplift whistleblowers and advocates whose courage exposes systemic abuse and pushes institutions toward necessary change. By connecting these voices, we work to challenge silence, disrupt patterns of harm, and advocate for safer, more accountable systems.

If you are a survivor seeking understanding, solidarity, or support after experiencing sexual abuse within an institution, this space is for you. You are believed. You are not alone. And together, we are building something stronger.
