Brief History of the Abuse Survivors Coalition
Where do we come from and why?
The Abuse Survivors Coalition has grown out of an 18-month effort of a group of SNAP leaders to be heard. It did not work. In November 2025, SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) removed all leaders from their re-branded website. SNAP also removed any listing of Virtual Support Groups. In essence, they cut us off from YOU!
Therefore, we continue our efforts for survivors of abuse on a different platform. We are returning to our grassroots effort for survivors.
For years we represented SNAP with pride. We have assessed the direction of SNAP now and are forming ASC to go back to a survivor-oriented focus for our volunteer efforts. We are excited that YOU are here!
